VIDEOS/PHOTOS: The Redding Fire Department (RFD) released more details about the vegetation fire off of Lowden Lane on Wednesday afternoon. RFD said they received word of a vegetation fire burning behind businesses at 105 Hartnell Avenue just after 3:50 p.m. When their crews arrived, they said they found a fire burning around a quarter of an acre of vegetation on an upslope behind the building, near Lowden Lane. KRCR's Dylan Brown reported LIVE from the scene while firefighters worked to fully extinguish the fire. Even though the weather conditions and the fire's proximity to the businesses prompted a second alarm of additional resources, the RFD said their firefighters had the fire contained within 10 minutes of their arrival.
