First responders airlifted two fishermen who were stuck on the cliffside at Mori Point on Saturday. Firefighters from the North County Fire Authority were dispatched at 4 p.m. on Saturday to Mori Point on a report of an injured person on the cliff. A California Highway Patrol helicopter that happened to be near San Francisco at the time also responded. The CHP helicopter took one firefighter aboard and together the crew managed to hoist both fishermen to safety. Authorities said the fishermen were walking down the steep cliff when one of them fell as far as 40 feet.
