Crews battled a fire at a multi-family home in East Hartford on Wednesday afternoon. The fire was reported a little before 2 p.m. at a home on Gold Street near Clement Road. Fire officials said crews worked quickly to knock the fire down. Nobody was home at the time and no injuries were reported.The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
