Two people were critically injured in a crash in the city on Saturday night where one person was ejected from a vehicle. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wilmont Road and Brookside Avenue. At least four fire units responded to the crash site to assist. As crews were still on scene, shortly after 8 p.m., firefighters let the dispatcher know that Wayfare Street — between Wilmont Road and Level Street — was closed to all traffic. This location is just down the street from the intersection where fire officials initially reported the crash with ejection. Officials said two individuals involved in the crash suffered critical injuries. The accident reconstruction unit was called to the scene, which is typical whenever there is a serious crash.
