The firefighters who responded to the deadly fire on Stoneridge Drive on Jan. 3 were recognized by the fire department and fire chief on Wednesday. The three-alarm fire at 37 Stoneridge Drive claimed the lives of its residents, John and Donna Needham. The cause was ruled undetermined.“Although this incident had a tragic outcome that we bear with and the community has felt, the members that responded on that day responded in an admirable way and did everything possible for positive outcome,” Fire Chief Peter Towey said. The firefighters were presented with the special unit award.
