Mighty big for elves.
There's a lot of reasons to love firefighters. Saving lives is at the top of the list. But Santa's helpers? Who knew?
Members of the North Stonington Volunteer Fire Company decided to build a sleigh for Santa this year to make it easier for him to get in and out, Chief Charles Steinhart V told Patch.
Firefighters turned Santa's helpers are Matt McGowan, Joe Cassata, Jason Tagg, Charles Steinhart IV, Charles Steinhart V, Greg Howell, Patrick Chute, Tom Marsh, Cody Morgan, Jon Carner, and Nathan Browning.
If volunteer firefighters working through the night to build Santa's sleigh so that kids of all ages from near and far can cheer doesn't warm your heart, well, you're a Grinch. Ho, ho, ho! The North Stonington Santa Run is set for Sunday Dec. 1 from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m.
