There was a special reunion at the Milford Fire Department Friday, following a 911 call that was far from routine. The call came around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday for a woman in labor. Milford firefighters responded to Julie and Caleb Butera's apartment near Walnut Beach. "The mom was lying on the ground like she knew what was happening," said Justin Edo, an EMT who responded. Julie and Caleb say that at that point, the EMS responders said, "We're doing this here!" Three or four pushes later, Natalie Grace came into the world "screaming like a banshee." "You got to give credit to the parents," said Kerry Warren, another responding EMT. "They did a fabulous job adjusting to something that certainly wasn't their plan that day." The original plan was to give birth at Yale New Haven Hospital next month. Julie and the baby were transported to the maternity ward after the surprise delivery.
