Just after 5 p.m., the city’s 911 dispatch center received a call about a fire in an upstairs bedroom in the 300 block of Haig Avenue.
Crews from the Springdale Fire Department were first on scene and reported flames at the two-story private residence, according to Fire Capt. Philip Hayes.
Units got the fire under control by about 5:50 p.m., Hayes said. There were no injuries to any residents or firefighters.
Hayes said the residents were displaced by fire, smoke and water damage to the home.
