Amity Road in New Haven is partially closed due to an overnight car crash. Officials announced the road is closed from Fowler to Wright Avenue early on Thursday morning. Crews said when they responded to the scene, a car was caught on fire with a victim still inside. They were able to safely remove the victim, but the person sustained serious injuries according to officials. New Haven police and New Haven fire crews said they are working jointly to investigate the cause of the crash and fire.
