The Guilford Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship Committee announced that it awarded $7,000 in scholarships to local students. They are: Christopher Cusano attending the University of New Haven Megan Fisher attending the University of New Haven Erin Norton attending Saint Michaels College Cameron Hubbard attending the University of Connecticut. Nicole Auger attending Roger Williams University. These scholarships are made possible due to the generous donations of the public to the GVFD Memorial Fund in memory of a passed loved one. Both Cusano and Norton remain active in the fire department when home from college, it was noted in a press release. Norton is also a volunteer in the Colchester Vermont Fire Department, where her college is located.
