Two adults are dead and an infant is in the hospital after a fire broke out at a multi-family home in Waterbury on Wednesday morning.
Fire officials said firefighters pulled an adult man, an adult woman, and an infantfrom the three-story house on 3rd Street. Emergency crews performed CPR on all three individuals before they were taken to a hospital, fire officials said.
Assistant Fire Chief Javier Lopez said the two adults were pronounced dead. The infant, who Lopez said is approximately a year old, is at Yale New Haven Hospital. The condition of the infant is unknown at this time. Officials said the third floor was consumed by flames, and it took firefighters about half an hour to put out the fire.
