The Watertown Fire Marshal’s Office has announced the town winners of the 2021-22 annual Connecticut Fire Prevention Poster Contest. The Watertown Fire Marshal’s Office picks two winners each year from each fourth and fifth grade from all the entries submitted. Those winners receive certificates and a prize of $50 each from the Fire Marshal’s Office. Town winners are sent on to the next phase with the hopes of ultimately being named the overall state winner.
This year the Fire Marshal’s Office picked six Honorable Mentions entries, and each were awarded gift certificates to McDonalds.
This year’s Watertown/Oakville town winners are fourth grader Willa Zanesky from Polk Elementary, fourth grader Emma Lombard, fifth grader Nalla Nelson and fifth grader Ana Correia, all of Judson Elementary School.
