Flames erupted in a New Haven home on Tuesday morning, according to the New Haven Fire Department.
Fire crews were dispatched to a multi-family home on Plymouth Street around 4:20 a.m. The blaze was quickly classified as a two-alarm fire, and the fire department called in for additional manpower to put it out.
The home is two-and-a-half stories tall, officials said. At this time, eight people have been displaced due to this fire and are currently working with the Red Cross.
Fire crews are still on the scene, but the flames were put out.
Crews haven’t stated a possible cause for the blaze. The incident is currently under investigation.
