A Danbury pharmaceutical company worker was hospitalized after suffering an injury in a fire that broke out Tuesday morning at the Mannkind Corporation on Taylor Street. When firefighters arrived, they were told by employees that some equipment caught fire and a staff member was able to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher. The nature of the employees injuries were not specified, and there has been no update on their condition. After the emergency was over, it was back to work under normal operations, as the incident only resulted in minor equipment damage. The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was called in though, because the fire occurred at a pharmaceutical company.
