Westport firefighters doused a house fire on Rocky Ridge Road Tuesday, which fire officials blamed on an electrical problem.
No injuries were reported in the 3 p.m. blaze, and though power was temporarily cut to the home, the residents were not displaced.
"Upon arrival, a fire was observed on the front right corner of the house," wrote Assistant Chief Philip Hessberger in a statement.
The fire had extended to the interior of the second-floor bedroom before it was extinguished.
The Westport Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
