Fire broke out at a home in Hockessin Friday morning.
Firefighters were called to the corner of Brackenville Road and Mill Creek Road on April 5, 2019 at 8 a.m. Firefighters arrived on-scene to find heavy, thick smoke coming from a large two-and-a-half story home.
Firefighters attempted to make an interior attack, but were having water issues and had to back out. A second interior attempt also failed, according to WDEL breaking news reporter Mike Phillips.
Water tanker trucks had to be brought in from Chester County, Pennsylvania, to help supplement the water supply to fight the fire.
The blaze was declared under control after about an hour, just before 9 a.m.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
