Savannah Thompson, who was featured in back-to-back issues of the Delaware's Finest annual calendar, has been honored as EMT of the Year by Aetna, Hose, Hook and Ladder Company of Newark.
Thompson was in both the 2017 and 2018 calendars featuring Delaware volunteer firefighters, and currently serves Aetna as a field training officer.
She received the company's annual Lt. John P. Murphy Memorial EMT of the Year Award.
EMS Deputy Chief Amy Cavanaugh said, "Savannah is a great asset to our field training program, working with new EMTs to ensure they are receiving the training needed to be proficient."
