Wilmington firefighters quickly controlled a middle-of-the-row house fire Tuesday morning on Vandever Avenue. The blaze between Jessup and Pine streets was reported around 8:40 a.m. on January 8, 2019. Arriving firefighters reported a fire on the second floor. They had the flames extinguished within 20 minutes. A fire department spokesman said there were no injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
