Five Homes Damaged in Coastal Club Community Fire in Lewes

VIDEO: Authorities are investigating a Monday night fire that damaged five homes - including one extensively - in the Coastal Club community in Lewes. The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze, which was reported shortly after 8:30 p.m., occurred at a home in the 35000 block of Acadia Lane. The Lewes Fire Department, along with several assisting fire companies, responded to the scene. Heavy fire damage occurred to one home and four other homes were damaged by exposure. There were no reported injuries. Heavy fire damage was estimated to exceed $750,000. State fire investigators were called to the scene and are searching for the fire’s origin and cause.
