Amidst the coronavirus chaos, Delawareans are showing their support for first responders and health workers. In New Castle County, a group of about 40 nurses from Christina School District filled two vans and a truck with personal protective equipment to give to health professionals at hospitals throughout the state. "I wish we can do more," said Christina School District's Lead Nurse Karen A. Kleinschmidt said. A parent of a student in the district emailed the superintendent after hearing about doctors and nurses in the state who need more supplies. Nurses from Appoquinimink and Vo-Tech School Districts also donated personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies to area nursing homes and healthcare providers, including Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.
