Vacant House Destroyed by Fire in Georgetown

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office is investigating after a vacant house was destroyed by fire. Shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters from the Georgetown Fire Company were dispatched to a house on the 20000 block of Asketum Branch Road. The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says the house was unoccupied and the total loss was estimated at $10,000. The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
