A fire that ripped through a Rehoboth restaurant early Saturday morning remains under investigation, the fire marshal's office said.
The fire was reported shortly after 2 a.m. in the 37000 block of Rehoboth Ave., where the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company arrived to find flames coming from Shrimpy's Pub. Firefighters from Lewes, Indian River, Milton, Bethany Beach and Slaughter Beach also aided in getting the fire under control, which took about an hour. Crews remained on the scene until around 7 a.m. extinguishing hot spots.
Two other units in the complex, including a Chinese restaurant, were also damaged. No injuries were reported.
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire. Damages were estimated at $500,000.
