Fire crews responded to an apartment fire Tuesday evening. Three fire trucks from the Fort Myers Fire Department responded to a neighbor's report of smoke at 2650 Park Windsor Drive sometime after 7 p.m. When firefighters arrived on scene, they started checking the units at the complex for signs of smoke. They found one door that felt very warm, the Fort Myers Battalion Chief said. After knocking down the door, firefighters found no victims inside the home. The fire started in the kitchen area, and it has since been put out. There were no injuries, and no one was evacuated from their apartment, according to the fire chief. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
