Greater Naples Fire District awarded over $555,000 FEMA Grant

The Greater Naples Fire Rescue District has announced they have been awarded FEMA grants for new self-contained breathing apparatus, according to a press release. Greater Naples Fire has been awarded the FEMA Assistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG) in the amount of $555,772.72. The new breathing apparatus is the most recent technology and will help enhance firefighter safety, said Greater Naples Fire. At their October Board meeting, the Board of Fire Commissioners accepted the grant and approved the ten percent, or $55,477.28, District share.
