Brevard County and Cocoa Fire Rescue Mitigate Ruptured Gas Line in West Cocoa

Brevard County Fire Rescue’s Engine 44, HazMat 48, Tower 48, District 20, District 45 and Cocoa Fire Rescue were on the scene of a natural gas leak in West Cocoa on Tuesday afternoon. Crews mitigated a 2-inch gas line that was ruptured at the intersection of State Road 520 and Townsend Road in the sweltering Florida heat. Founded in 1984, Brevard County Fire Rescue is committed to be recognized as “best in class,” delivering the highest level of service to our residents and guests, today and every day. “Our mission is to meet and exceed the needs of our community through the highest level of emergency response and prevention services.”
