A fire at a Lehigh Acres home Thursday morning is being investigated as possible arson, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office crime map. The Lehigh Acres Fire Control & Rescue District responded to reports of a house fire on Alabama Road S. before 4 a.m. A small stretch of the road had to be blocked off for the response. The fire was extinguished before 7 a.m. with a minor injury reported but no transport needed. The state fire marshal will be investigating the cause of the blaze, and the LCSO crime map now lists the incident as an arson investigation.
