VIDEO: The Bureau of Fire, Arson, and Explosives Investigations is investigating after one person died in a fire on Jacksonville’s westside Sunday morning. According to Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, crews responded to a mobile home on McGlothin Street just before 3 a.m. Crews were able to get the fire under control within 20 to 30 minutes. A hot spot did reignite the fire a short time later, but JFRD returned to the scene and was able put it out. The fire destroyed the mobile home, and the middle exterior of the home was completely burned. News4JAX spoke with JFRD Captain Eric Prosswimmer who says they were told that two people lived inside the mobile home. “We spent extensive time searching for the other person and we found out JSO had located them,” Prosswimmer said.
