Police have released the identities of a woman and child killed in a fire at a home in Douglas County. The fire started around 9:30 p.m. Monday night at the home on the 500 block of Boulder Park Drive in Lithia Springs. Police say a woman who lived inside the home was able to make it out safely but 28 year-old Stacia Williams and 10 year-old Jermaude Earl were trapped inside. Police tell CBS46 News that the victims are cousins. A neighbor says he kicked in the back door of the home but the heat was too intense and he was unable to get them out. They were taken to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead.
