A woman is in the hospital after a tree fell onto her car Thursday morning. He was at the scene with authorities who confirmed the large tree fell onto the woman's car just before 6 a.m. He's working to learn her condition for updates on Channel 2 Action News at Noon. It happened in the 300 block of Anderson Avenue in Atlanta. Firefighters told Gehlbach the woman was in the back of a vehicle and her husband was in the front when a large tree came down onto it. She was trapped but firefighters cut her out. The family inside a home nearby was not hurt. The tree came down onto the driveway and came from the neighbor's yard. Neighbors told Gehlbach they heard the tree snap overnight as heavy wind pounded metro Atlanta. The woman was alert and conscious when she was taken to a local hospital. She had some internal injuries, authorities said.
