Officials say back-to-back morning fires at Macon home are arson

The Macon Bibb Fire Department worked the scene of a vacant home fire on the intersection of Grants Chapel Ally and Knotts St. Ln. in Macon Friday morning. According to Macon-Bibb Fire, two fires were started at this vacant home -- one at 1 a.m. on the front porch and another at 4 a.m. on the back side of the home. Both the Macon Bibb Sheriff Department and Fire Investigator Ben Gleaton were on the scene. Gleaton determined it to be arson on both accounts.
