Milton Fire-Rescue and Police Departments utilize grant funding to purchase new equipment

Milton Police Department and Fire-Rescue Department acquire additional equipment through grants from the Milton First Responders Foundation. According to a news release, "approximately $6,000 worth of equipment has been purchased" through the grant funding. The equipment aims to promote "efficiency in the field and further protects the health of Milton's public safety personnel." Milton First Responders Foundation, or MFRF, is a 501(c)3 is a board comprised of civic and business leaders who serve on a volunteer basis to provide support to the Milton Police and Fire employees and their families. "MFRF is another great example of our citizens coming together to support their own," said Mayor Joe Lockwood. "Several of our board members come from a long line of first responders and we know first-hand the sacrifices that public safety personnel make in service to the community," said Pinto.
