A teen was arrested Wednesday for starting a fire at the Augusta Youth Development Center Campus in January.
Samuel Mitchell, 17, was charged with arson in the first degree. The housing unit where the fire occurred was occupied by 15 other youths at the time, according to an arrest warrant.
Mitchell used a battery, paperclip, brown paper bag, and a sheet to start the fire in unit 45 of the facility, the warrant states.
He is being held at Charles B. Webster Detention Center.
