A teenager’s quick actions led to her family getting safely out of a burning Savannah home. It happened tonight on Oxford Court. The fire appears to have started in a place where a hoverboard was charging. The teen spotted the blaze and hurried to warn her family. They got out OK. Off-duty Savannah firefighters Matt Metivier, and Mike Thompson, and retired Capt. Mike Metivier were across the street when the fire began. They used a garden hose to knock down the flames. The fire damaged a bedroom.
