Matthew Brian Smith, age 41, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
Matthew was born on December 31, 1981, in Austell, GA, son of Terry Smith and Virginia Rash Smith. Matthew's dream was always to become a firefighter. Through hard work and perseverance, that dream became a reality for him.
Matthew is survived by his parents; son, Noah Smith; brothers, Terry (Nicole) Harper and Travis Smith. Sister, Ginger (Michael) Whitley; God son, John Webb and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; treasured miniature yorkies, Zoey and Misty.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, the 26th of March, 2023, in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Ronnie Cowart and Billy Ward officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Georgia Memorial Park.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10 a.m. until the service hour at Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville.
