VIDEO: An investigation is underway after a fire tore through a DeKalb County apartment complex on Tuesday evening, according to DeKalb County Fire Department Captain Jaeson Daniels.
“Our units responded here to the Villas at Decatur just before 6 p.m. to a heavy fire overtaking the building. When they arrived, they were able to make an offensive attack. Once we found out most of the building was unoccupied and we had a resident outside, we pulled our units out and we continued to extinguish the fire.”
“The entire building, all six units are completely destroyed,” said Captain Daniels.
Several fire trucks were on the scene trying to put out the blaze. Crime scene tape was also put up on parts of the road near the apartment complex.
