The Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) has responded to a vehicle on fire outside of the City of Valdosta’s Customer Service Center.
Firefighters responded to the report of a vehicle fire at 102 North Lee Street in Valdosta, Ga just after noon on Friday, Aug. 2.
According to VFD, the first fire unit arrived within 3 minutes to find heavy fire and smoke coming from the engine compartment of the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped next to the City of Valdosta’s Customer Service Center causing a threat to the structure.
According to the VFD, the fire was caused by a leaking fuel line. Firefighters were able to put out the fire.
All occupants inside the customer service building were able to safely evacuate before the fire department’s arrival. According to VFD, two other individuals were treated and sent to South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC) Health.
