In anticipation of another scorching dry season, Guam Forestry Division's Cooperative Fire Protection Program provided 360 cases of bottled water for their wildland firefighters and their brothers and sisters from the Guam Fire Department.
The water was acquired through their Federal Excess Personal Property Program, a Federal Reutilization program through the USDA Forest Service and will be used to keep firefighters hydrated during wildfire operations.
According to Christine Camacho Fejeran, Coop. Fire Program Manager for Forestry and Soil Resources, when resources are limited, programs such as this one that provides much-needed resources.
