Honolulu firefighters responded with 12 units staffed with 37 personnel to a building fire in Puu Heleakala located at 87-2142 Helelua Place on March 14, 2019, at 9:09 a.m.
The first unit arrived at 9:13 a.m. to find a two-story six-unit town house with smoke and flames emanating from the lower rear area of unit 5.
The fire was brought under control at 9:46 a.m. and was extinguished at 9:51 a.m.
It was reported that one adult male, two adult females, and two infants were alerted to the fire by an odor of smoke and were able to escape the home safely.
