Man accused of starting Nanakuli brush fire pleads not guilty

A man accused of starting a brush fire in Nanakuli has pleaded not guilty. Michah Araneta Senior faces first and fourth degree arson charges. The fire scorched 20 acres of land above Sea Country and Maili Point, on March 6th. Amateur video of his arrest appears to show Araneta with a weapon in his hand. His criminal history includes a conviction for domestic abuse, and arrests for terroristic threatening and criminal property damage.
