Pahoa Avenue was reopened at 8:20 a.m. after an attic fire in Kaimuki was extinguished, according to the Honolulu Fire Department. No serious injuries were reported. Firefighters responded to call of a fire at a home at the 3000 block of Pahoa Avenue at about 7:05 a.m. When they arrived, fire crews observed a smoldering fire emanating in the attic. They extinguished the fire within minutes, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
