Firefighters on the Big Island had to battle a blaze that started in one of its own fire trucks. It broke out along the Daniel K. Inouye Highway in Kaumana just before 8 a.m. The flames engulfed about half of the vehicle and fire investigators say it may have started because the truck's rear breaks overheated. The fire was extinguished about an hour later. The highway reopened just before 1:20 p.m.
