A hiker is safe after being rescued by the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) on a trail in Hawaii Kai.
On Sunday, September 1, 2024, at approximately 10:48 a.m. HFD responded to an injured hiker on the Koko Head Crater Trail with HFD crews arriving at 10:56 a.m.
It was reported that a man in his 30s had suffered from an injury while hiking and was unable to descend the trail on his own. HFD crews were able to locate the hiker at 11:07 a.m., conduct a medical assessment, and provide the man with basic life support.
The hiker was then transferred to Emergency Medical Services at 11:34 a.m.
