An early morning fire heavily damaged a mobile home in west Davenport. Davenport firefighters were called shortly after 4 a.m. Wednesday to 50th Street and North Elsie Avenue in the Silver Creek Mobile Home Park. A family of four was reportedly able to safely escape the structure without injuries. Firefighters were able quickly to get the fire under control.
