A family of five lost their pet while safely escaping a trailer fire in Lakewood Estates, Davenport, on Thursday morning. Davenport Fire Department told Local 4 News that they responded to the fire around 8:16 a.m. The cause of the fire is unknown and the incident remains under investigation. Red Cross was at the scene assisting the family.
