A beloved, long-time Siouxland firefighter has lost his battle with Lupus. Jon Johndreau passed away Friday at the age of 38 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He had been serving with the Lawton Fire Department since he was in high school. His sister said he loved being able to get out of school to go on calls. While in Lawton, one fellow firefighter said it was an honor to work with Johndreau. "Jon Johndreau, I worked with him all the time while he was on the department. He was always very positive and fun to work with, always wanting to help out as he was battling through his sicknesses and stuff like that. He's going to be missed by the department a lot," said Daniel Grau, Lawton Volunteer Firefighter. His sister said he was very active with the station in Lawton and loved being apart of the team. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton.
