The blaze broke out inside the home in the 1900 block of West 3rd Street at about 8:00pm Friday night. Neighbors notice smoke coming from the one-story home. Neighbors say no one was home when the blaze broke out. But, we do know that two animals, that were inside, died in the fire. "We entered the structure, we did not find anyone inside," said Frank Fulton, Assistant Fire Chief, Sioux City Fire Rescue. "We did find two animals on the second story which when we pulled from the building. We tried to revive them we worked on them for quite a while, but they did pass." Fulton added the majority of the damage was contained to a single room in the back of the house on the first floor.
