VIDEO: Several people were displaced from their apartments due to a large fire early Tuesday in Glenwood, Iowa.
Firefighters found flames shooting from the building on Sharp Street around 12:45 a.m. Ultimately, many departments from Mills County and the Red Oak Fire Department responded to battle the flames.
KETV NewsWatch 7 photographer Zach Harper-Blunt lives in an apartment down the block. He said sheriff's deputies knocked on his door and told him to evacuate due to a fire.
"I go down and turn to my right and can see the smoke pouring out from one of the buildings, it was in the upstairs, just black smoke just firing out," Harper-Blunt said. He said fire trucks had just arrived at the scene and were spraying the fire with water.
