An early morning fire in the Lewiston Orchards Wednesday destroyed a shop, Lewiston Fire Department officials said in a press release.
The 911 call came in at 3:28 a.m. at 420 Preston Avenue.
First arriving crews found an unattached shop fully involved with fire, according to fire official Ken Schmidt.
"Crews were able to knock down the fire within 15 minutes," he wrote. "The shop and all contents were a total loss."
There was no damage to the residence.
The cause of the fire was an electric heater left to close to combustibles.
The estimated damage to the structure and contents is about $75,000.
No one was hurt.
