A Boise area family has been displaced from their home after an early morning fire. The Boise Fire Department says crews were called out to the 6700 block of W. Fairview. It was quickly controlled, however, a nearby home also received some damage. The mother and three children are displaced and being assisted by the Boise Burnout Fund. The fire was started by smoking materials discarded on the front porch, officials say.
