PHOTO: The Roberts Fire Department was called to a shop fire located at 2942 E. 650 N. on Highway 48, just one mile east of Roberts.
When responders arrived, they found fully engulfed, a four-bay loafing shed at the rear of a truck shop.
Responders were able to contain the fire in approximately four hours, save the truck shop, and one bay to the loafing shed. Lost in the fire were a truck, car and snow plow truck. Some livestock were also lost in the fire.
Dispatched in response to the fire in addition to Roberts were Central Fire responders from the Menan and Rigby stations.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s office, according to Roberts Fire Chief Tom Kaiser.
